How will my personal details be used?

Your personal data will be used solely to fulfill your request for our products and services.

We assure you that your personal data will not be passed on to third parties, sold, or rented, unless we have received your express authorization to do so or are legally obliged to forward such data.

Can you explain your unique 3 year guarantee?

Our unique 3 year guarantee extends to all our blinds and covers any defect in materials or workmanship within that period of time. Should a problem occur, we will repair or replace the blind without charge providing it has not, in our opinion, been subject to misuse, neglect or incorrect installation. We ask that you contact us initially and return the blind, whereupon we will inspect the blind and advise you of our findings. If we feel the problem was due to a manufacturing error then we will correct the error and refund your initial postage.

What is your returns and refund policy?

Unfortunately as our blinds are all made to measure we cannot offer a return or refund on blinds that have been measured incorrectly. Please read the measuring guide carefully before ordering your blinds and be aware of any allowances we make when manufacturing your blinds.

Changes, Cancellations and Refunds.

Our products are custom made to your exact requirements, and as such are not suitable for resale by us, therefore it is very important that you are sure of your purchase decisions before placing your order. We send your order details to the production department and automatically charge your credit card for the total sale price immediately after you complete your on line order. An order received from you for in-stock materials before 3.00pm will normally begin production within 12 hours. Any changes to your order must be received by us, either by phone, email, or letter, within this time period. After this period the blind will be made and the order cannot be altered or cancelled.

My blind looks a different colour to the sample on the website, why is this?

We endeavour to make sure the colour of the blind shown on our website is the correct colour of the blind you receive, however in some instances there may be a slight colour variation due to different computer screens. We always recommend that you order a free sample if there is any doubt regarding a colour or pattern of a fabric. We cannot accept any responsibility for any colour variation if you place an order without a sample.

I ordered a wooden venetian and there is a slight difference in colour in the slats.

As wood is a natural product, the look and behaviour of each of our wooden venetians will be slightly different to the next. The grain may vary between slats and as such so will the shade. We do our utmost to ensure as close a match as possible when manufacturing the blind. So do remember this when you order a sample that that too may vary slightly and is only an indication as to the colour shade.

What is the difference between exact and recess?

An exact blind will be made precisely to your measurements you enter into our website. If you want a blind to be fitted to the outside of your window opening then this type of blind is the one you need.

A recess measurement is needed for a blind that will be fitted inside the window opening. We make allowances to the blind measurements you give us to ensure that it fits perfectly within our window opening.

How do I know my order has been placed?

We will confirm your order by email within 24 hours of it being placed. If you do not receive this conformation please call our telephone number or email us with your concerns.

What are pelmet returns?

Pelmet returns are pieces of wood that are cut at 45 degrees so they can be attached to the end of the pelmet to hide the headrail in the case of a blind being fitted outside the window opening.

The Louvres on my vertical blind wont rotate. What have I done wrong?

You need to take the louvres off the headrail. Pull the operation chain until the hooks are in the open position and rehang the louvres.

The louvres on my vertical blind are not all closing together. What can I do?

Your vertical blind has a self aligning carrier system within the headrail. Firstly remove the louvres from the headrail. Pull the operation chain until the hooks are in the closed position. At this point you will feel a slight resistance from the chain but do not worry. Gently force the chain until the "out of line" hooks close completely. You will hear a clicking noise as you do this but this is perfectly normal. 

What happens if I miss my delivery?

We cannot be responsible for delays or failures in delivery caused by a failure to gain access to the delivery address or because of other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will attempt to deliver your goods to the delivery address specified at time of ordering a maximum of three times. In the event that we are unsuccessful in delivering your order for reasons beyond our control, you will be notified and a surcharge will be applicable for the return & redelivery of your goods.

What do I do if my blind becomes faulty?

Contact us at enquiries@theblindfactory.co.uk or call us on 0800 612 6231 and explain your problem, we might be able to solve it over the phone. If not, your blind is covered under our 3 year guarantee, and as such, any repairs or replacement will be free of charge.

Do all fitting instructions come with the blinds?

All necessary fitting instructions can be downloaded from our website by clicking the link on the relevant page. This enables us to save on the use of paper and do our bit for the environment.

What allowances do you make if I select recess measurement when ordering a vertical blind ?

We generally deduct 1cm from the width and 5mm from the drop to ensure a perfect fit.
