PLEASE GIVE THE CORRECT MEASUREMENT - WE CANNOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ERRORS WHEN ORDERING
WHEN MEASURING FOR YOUR BLIND ALWAYS USE A STEEL TAPE MEASURE.
You will need to consider the following points:
- Where will the bracket fit?
- Will the blind be fitted inside or outside the recess?
- Decide what type of blind you will be fitting?
- Does the window open inward i.e. tilt and turn?
- Will you be able to open the window when the blind is fitted?
- Will the window handles, or any other items e.g. telephone sockets, tiles etc obstruct the blind?
- measure the width and height of your window at the top, the middle and the bottom and always use the smallest measurement.
Follow the instructions below when measuring.
Inside Window Recess (Recess)
Measure inside the recess width at the top where the brackets will be fitted, measure the drop in several places. Remember to consider any obstructions. But take care, accurate sizes are essential. N.B. It is advisable to measure the width in several places and you should of course quote the minimum width.
Keep in mind the fabric for a Rollerblind will be approximately 32mm smaller in width than the recess size. This in many cases will save you having to measure Cloth Width, because the fabric will miss most tiles and modest size dado rail depths.
Outside Window Recess (Exact)
If your Roller blind needs to be fitted outside a recess you will need to order your blind larger than the recess, this is to gain as much privacy as possible.
Measure the width of the recess and add the amount you want the blind to overlap - we suggest you add 76mm/3" on each side of this measurement so the blind can overlap the window to gain as much privacy as possible. Next measure the drop of the recess and again add 76mm/3" for the top and again for the bottom on this size to overlap the window.
Keep in mind the bracket to bracket width for a Rollerblind will be approximately 32mm larger in width than the fabric size.
